Mabel (Barwell) Wilkinson, 98, died May 14, 2012 at Sutton Hill Nursing Home in North Andover MA. She was born September 4, 1913 in North Andover to the late C. David and Lillian Blanche (Hall) Barwell. Educated in North Andover she was a graduate of Johnson High School class of 1930.

Mabel was a member of Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church in North Andover where she was an Organist for many years in the 30s, she was also a member of the North Andover Women’s Club before moving to Rumford Maine in 1967. While living in Maine she was an Organist at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Rumford for several years.

She was employed at the Word Mill Paymasters Office in Lawrence, Ma, the First National Bank in Miami, FL, and the Second National Bank in Washington, DC.

Mabel was predeceased by her husband Thomas H. Wilkinson in 1997 and her son Harry L. Wilkinson in 2011. She is survived by her brother Herbert E. Barwell of North Andover, MA, niece Beth Boardman, and nephews David A. Sartrys and James Barwell.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday May 25, 2012 at 11:30 AM at Ridgewood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conte Funeral Home 17 Third St. North Andover, MA 01845.
